The new electronic transport document

Goodbye printer! The new GBK management system enables optimization and saves costs

Since the beginning of 2016 new guidelines have been in force for the provision and access to electronic transport documents, which are necessary for the national transportation of dangerous goods. While many still wait for the paperless office, the new era is already a reality on roads, railways and inland navigation. GBK GmbH Global Regulatory Compliance, which is one of the leading companies in the handling of hazardous substances, offers a comprehensive management system starting in fall.

Until now the rule applied that a printer had to be on board at any time to print the electronic transport document. But not anymore. The data access to the transport papers via a mobile end device suffices for the application and control forces. Should this fail, a digital copy on a web-based TP1 portal must be ready to call via an emergency number.

Exactly here starts the expert service provider GBK with its solution portfolio, which consists of three components. The transport documents are automatically uploaded via the GBK-TP1 portal and are immediately available on the server. The GBK-EMTEL emergency call number, which has been tried and tested for many years, provides 24/7/365 access to the transport documents required by law, as well as expert advice for personnel and control personnel. These services are supplemented by GBK experts who advise on the benefits to companies of this process.

On September 27, 2016, Ulrich Mann, a member of GBK’s management, will present the new management system for the first time at the IAA Dangerous Goods Day in Hanover. Further information and events: www.gbk-tp1.de and www.gbk-ingelheim.de.
