THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS REGARDING TP1

Is the TP1-solution provided by GBK beneficial for my company? Is my data secure? Here you can find the answers to the most important questions.

Who requires a GBK-TP1 solution ?

Anyone who is involved with the management and transportation of  dangerous goods, i. e.  shippers and carriers, and companies that implement electronic transport documents for dangerous goods transportations to reduce costs and resources.

What are the requirements for the implementation of an electronic documentation system of transportation documents for dangerous goods?

Since 1.1.2016 an electronic documentation of transportation documents for dangerous goods is possible – if the transportation documents are visible for inspection staff via a mobile data terminal device in the vehicle. A copy of the digital transportation documents (PDF) must be deposited at any time of the dangerous goods transportation on the TP-1 server and be ready for collection via an emergency number (EMTEL), which must be properly attached on the vehicle.

Do I need to log in or register in order to use TP1?

No, with the TP1 server we have already established conditions that exclusively authorized inspection staff, in case of need, have access to the respective uploaded transportation document. We provided you with the registration details and access to the GBK-TP1 portal.

Is an electronical documentation for dangerous goods transportation reasonable for my company and how much savings potential does exist?

In general, a process optimization and the related changes towards electronic transportation documents is always reasonable. Depending on the number of dangerous goods transports of your company, the savings potential will increase. Partly, only one danger good transportation per day can lead to savings, if personal handover of documents is necessary. However, our experts are happy to assist and can provide you with a first evaluation of the savings potential at any time.

Is a staff training for the GBK-TP1 system necessary?

The operation of the GBK-TP1 software is very simple and user-friendly. We are happy to give you a short briefing.

What if I don’t possess electronic documentations yet and need to entirely rearrange?

We can arrange for a contact with our partners who offer specific solutions regarding documentation management within logistics and further provide the service to integrate the GBK-TP1 solution in your concept.

How secure is my data, if I upload my files as a PDF or XML on the TP1 server?

All data accesses are secured by the safe standard https:// with username and password and on the same safety status as for example the process of online-banking. Additionally, data on the server are automatically encrypted.

Will my data be archived on the server and for how long will I have access to them?

Access to your digital transportation via the inspection staff (in case of need) is only possible in the predefined transportation period. Afterwards, they server is going to save the data, by default and within the law, for 3 more months. All your data will then be automatically and irreversibly deleted.

Can I have a detailed look at the process including the GBK-TP1 portal software or rather try it out?

Yes, we offer a short video clip as an introduction to the topic, and provide you with a try & buy version of the GBK-TP1 portal software. This demo version can be used for 4 weeks as trial to test all the functions of full edition. Please contact us.

How are the one-time and current costs composed, after the conversion towards the GBK portal?

For the usage of the software (including update services) you are going to pay a small annual sum, plus the costs for the number of uploaded documents, that is going to be billed semi-annually. Furthermore, we offer an annual prepaid package, including the basic fee for the usage of the portal, the EMTEL emergency number, and 5,000 uploaded documents.

How future-proof is this system and how can I be sure, that this system will remain legal for EU-cross national transportations in the future?

This national step-by-step launch is part of the european and international desired solution for the usage of digital transportation documents. The BMVI have regular discussions with the european ministries about further developments of a european standard.
